From Frustration to Freedom:

My Journey with a Reactive Dog

Meet Noa.

Meet Noa.

Hi, I’m Noa, a San Diego-based dog trainer and certified canine nutritionist, here to help humans build stronger, healthier bonds with their pups. My journey into dog training began with my own dog, Monte, a tenacious Pit Bull/German Shepherd mix who taught me just how complex—and rewarding—the journey with a reactive dog can be. Despite endless pre-adoption preparation and working with several dog trainers, Monte faced severe reactivity challenges that demanded not only patience but a deep understanding of dog behavior and communication.

Over the span of 4+ years, I became absorbed with dog behavior information, learning to read canine body language, utilize training tools effectively, and understand how nutrition impacts behavior and longevity. I’ve also learned that helping increase the likelihood that my best friend lives a long, high-quality life is within my own control.

Feeding Monte a mix of raw and home-cooked meals over the last few years has been essential to his progress and well-being, reinforcing my belief in the benefits of approaching the Whole Damn Dog.

Every day that I have with Monte, I aim to help him be the best version of himself, and now, I’m excited to offer the same commitment to you and your dog. I’m here to help your dog live their healthiest, happiest life.

Meet Monte.

Hey, I’m Monte! Part Pit Bull, part German Shepherd, and 100% a handful. I’m the real reason my human, Noa, got into this whole training gig. Let’s just say I was a “challenging” puppy—I had big opinions and a big bark to match. Every dog trainer I met labeled me as, and I quote, “an exceptionally difficult dog to train.” I came in hot with some major reactivity, but hey, I just had a lot to say!

Through some trial (and many tears), Noa and I have figured each other out. I’ve even got my own custom meal plan with raw and home-cooked meals—pretty gourmet if you ask me. Now I’m calmer, a great listener off-leash, and I've been told I've got the shiniest coat on any pup in Pacific Beach! Oh, and I’m the proud taste-tester for all the fresh foods and supplements Noa learns about.

Anyway, my job is pretty much to keep Noa inspired—and let her brag about how far I’ve come. If she can train me, she can help anyone!

If you’re ready to reflect on yourself, adjust your approach, and truly invest in your dog’s growth, I’m here to guide you through the process.

I believe that real change happens when both the dog and their owner are willing to put in the time and effort. This isn’t about quick fixes or shortcuts—it's about deep, intentional work. Together, we’ll build the foundation for lasting success, with a strong focus on communication and trust.
